It complements the tournament's official rules and the Privacy Policy.

2. Mandatory streaming

Streaming is mandatory to take part in the tournament.

Every player taking part in a match must be able to broadcast their screen in accordance with the technical requirements communicated by The Stanker's Showdown.

This obligation serves the following purposes, in particular:

  • enabling the public broadcast of the competition;
  • ensuring transparency in how matches unfold;
  • enabling refereeing;
  • preventing and detecting behaviour contrary to the rules.

Failure to comply with this obligation may result in being unable to take part in the match concerned, as well as the sanctions provided for by the rules.

3. Who can view streams

Streams may be viewed by:

  • referees;
  • The Stanker's Showdown organisers;
  • the public, where the stream is public;
  • people taking part in the official production or broadcast of the tournament.

  • facilitate refereeing;
  • examine a dispute;
  • build the tournament's audiovisual archives;
  • create content related to the tournament.

6. Retention and publication of VODs

VODs from official broadcasts may be published on The Stanker's Showdown's official channels and platforms, in particular YouTube.

They may remain accessible with no predetermined time limit in order to form the tournament's audiovisual archives.

A VOD may nevertheless be removed or made inaccessible, in particular for:

  • legal reasons;
  • technical reasons;
  • security reasons;
  • moderation reasons;
  • editorial reasons;
  • or following a legitimate request.

  • analyse a disputed situation;
  • examine a complaint;
  • look into suspicious behaviour;
  • establish the circumstances of an incident.

Material specifically kept for refereeing, a dispute or a complaint may be kept for a maximum of two weeks after the end of the tournament, unless a legal obligation or specific need justifies a different retention period.

This time limit does not apply to VODs published as official audiovisual archives.

13. Disclosure to rights holders

Where behaviour is likely to constitute a breach of the rules applicable to Sea of Thieves or its services, The Stanker's Showdown may forward the relevant material to Microsoft Corporation, Rare Ltd. or any other competent entity where such disclosure is warranted.

This disclosure may in particular be made to allow the entities concerned to examine behaviour that is likely to breach their own rules.

The Stanker's Showdown does not decide on any sanctions that may be applied by these entities.

No one under the age of 15 on the first day of the tournament may take part.

For minor participants, The Stanker's Showdown may put in place specific authorisation arrangements where necessary under applicable regulations, in particular regarding audiovisual broadcasting and image rights.

15. Broadcasting-related requests

Anyone wishing to report an issue relating to a broadcast or a piece of content may contact:

thestankersshowdown@gmail.com

The Stanker's Showdown reviews requests in light of applicable rights, the terms of any authorisation, and the circumstances involved.

A takedown request does not automatically result in the removal of an archive or a piece of content where a legal basis allows it to be kept or broadcast.

Taking part in the tournament means the participant has been informed that:

  • streaming is mandatory;
